When I try to install SourcePro on 64bit Linux I get the following error message:

      “ Graphical installers are not supported by the VM”

I have verified that I have my DISPLAY set correctly, and I am open other X applications.

This error is usually caused by not having the 32bit system runtime libraries installed for the bundled version of java to work correctly.

There are 2 ways to resolve this problem.  The easiest way to resolve this problem is to install the necessary 32 bit runtime libraries for the installer to work correctly.  Here is a list of commonly needed 32 bit system libraries:

Another solution will be to use the 64bit version of java that you have already installed on your system.
First you will want to make sure the location of your java:

>which java

Next you will want to launch the installer, overriding the bundled java version using your own java location:

>cd rw_install
>ls  linux-x86
>cd linux-x86
>./SourcePro-13.1-linux-x86.bin LAX_VM /usr/bin/java

Preparing to install...
Extracting the JRE from the installer archive...

This should allow you to install SourcePro.  The next step you will need to modify RCB to also use your own java, as the bundled version of java is 32 bit version.

Change directories to your installation:  {rw_buildspace}/rcb/bin
You will need to modify the rcb file with the following modifications:

50:    Linux)        JAVA_HOME=${RCB_HOME}/bin/linux32;;

You will need to change this to point to the directory where java is located on your system:

    Linux)        JAVA_HOME=/usr/bin;;

Now you should be able to run RCB to build the SourcePro libraries.
