Question

What does the Date Line Wrapping (DLW) feature do?

Answer

The Date Line is a longitude line that is situated at 180 degrees in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This line is used to separate two consecutive calendar days.

The Date Line Wrapping feature is an algorithm used to split polygons that pass the date change meridian (these polygons are cut into two or more subareas so that they do not go across the date change meridian)
