Question

Why Windows' "Add or Remove Programs" program shows a large disk usage for JViews products?

Answer

This is due to the way the installer registers the products. It takes into account the root folder where all products are installed (which yields a large disk space). Instead, it should have registered only the folder that contains the files being installed.

For example, suppose you installed your PRODUCT-1 in C:\RogueWave. Once the installation is complete, you will have something like this:

C:\RogueWave

C:\RogueWave\PRODUCT-1

C:\RogueWave\PRODUCT-2

C:\RogueWave\PRODUCT-3

The "Add or Remove Programs" tab will show the disk size of the C:\RogueWave folder, which encloses all products, instead of the C:\RogueWave\PRODUCT-1 folder.
