Question

Is it possible to add geographic positioning information to bitmaps?

Answer

Since JViews 7.5, the map builder includes an interactive positioning dialog, based on the IlvRasterBasicImageReader, which allows projection and calibration of TIF, GIF, JPG and PNG images. This is available under "Non Geo-Referenced Image" format.
