Problem

Occasionally Software Support receives calls from Windows end users who receive the following error message after installing new printer drivers on their system:

[NOCREATE] RWFactory: No Create Function For Class

With ID 1012 (0x3f4)

In more extreme instances the callers have complained that these errors effect their entire network and cause a system wide failure.

It?s important to note, these errors are not reported by developers using Rogue Wave products. These users usually find Rogue Wave by doing a web search on RWFactory and are directed to Rogue Wave?s site

Cause

This problem seems to be tied to an HP printer installation. Apparently one or more DLLs is being overwritten with a new DLL of the same name. Two printers that may cause this problem are:

HPLJ8000 and HPDJ750
