Question

Why labels in IlvLabelMatrixItem are not translated by the .dbm file?

Answer

The IlvLabelMatrixItem implementation is intended for labels not requiring translation. It displays the string given as parameter as it is, without any modification.

The IlvGadgetItemMatrixItem object provides such translation mechanism.

It is also possible to build an IlvLabelMatrixItem subclass that returns the translated version of the string instead of the string itself. The attached sample illustrates how this can be achieved.
